Eastbourne and Country Taxis Supporting the Local Community

Eastbourne and Country Taxis continue to support several junior sporting activities during the year under our "Supporting Youth in Sport" campaign.

These include athletics with:

* Eastbourne Rovers under 11's
* Hampden Park Tennis Club
* Eastbourne Cricket Club under 13's 8-a-side Tournament
* Junior Sailing Awards
* Eastbourne Golf Park's junior finals
* Junior Darts League.

Our largest ongoing venture is Eastbourne and Country Taxis Soccer School, in conjunction with Eastbourne borough FC, which has two camps per year, at Easter and during August.

Last year we took children from Hazel Court School and Borough & Downs School with learning difficulties to the pantomime at the Devonshire park theatre to see Cinderella. We provided taxi transport home as far as Seaford, St Leonards and Hastings.

This year we held an art competition open to all schools in the Eastbourne area. Our calendar for 2006 comprises various pieces of art selected by the children. The overall winner was also chosen for our Christmas card this year! All winners received an art box and will be taken to the pantomime to see Jack and the Beanstalk this year.

We also advertise in various school magazines in and around the Eastbourne area, as well as the down school calendar for 2006. We regularly donate prize money to most of the school fetes and support our local St Wilfreds Hospice.
